Moving day has arrived! In an effort to better serve you, ReadyWire has secured space in a private datacenter in Chicago. The datacenter is the newly renovated 427 LaSalle data center facility located adjacent to the Chicago Board of Trade in downtown Chicago.
We took great care in researching and selecting only the highest quality bandwidth providers for our network to ensure we provide low latency and high availability to all locations both domestically and abroad. The networks that we selected include Savvis, NTT Communications, Enron (just kidding!), & Cogent.
What does this mean for you and your websites?
Without a doubt, you will experience a faster connection and your site will also experience a greater uptime percentage over our current datacenter. As one can imagine, moving sites from one datacenter to another can be a grueling task. This will be a gradual transition, more than likely being completed within the next 30 days. We will be in touch with each individual customer to explain what implications this may have on their website account. At the most, changing a couple of settings with your registrar is all that will be required of you.
