Although VeriSign made the announcement in December, news is just now starting to circulate.

.COM & .NET Domain Name Prices to Rise

On July 1, 2010, VeriSign will increase the prices that they charge all registrars for .COM and .NET domain names. As a result, registrars such as NetEarthOne, ReadyWire’s exclusive domain name partner, will be forced to pass along the increase to us.

.COM domain names will increase by 48 cents USD and .NET domain names will increase by 42 cents USD.

Beat the Increase! Renew today!

If you have five to ten domain names, an increase of 48 cents might not seem like that big of a deal for you. However, for customers who manage hundreds of domain names, this can be a big deal.

The clock is ticking! Renew your domain names at today’s rates! Click here to login to the ReadyWire Customer Portal. Once inside, click “Manage Domain Names.”

*** ReadyWire Gazette: Message from Rick ***

All week, I’ve been spending time getting together documents, reports, & receipts for
our accountant. It’s time to close the books on 2008!

While sifting through papers (and avoiding paper cuts), I had to stop and just marvel
at how much growth this company has experienced over the past year. For that, I say
thank you.

Numbers aside, we’ve grown in knowledge and ability. As I’m sure you’re aware,
we had a major outage in October that tested our abilities to handle such a situation.
And to be quite honest, we failed that test.

In some ways, I’m thankful for that event. Our team has implemented so many changes
to the way that we do business. It caused us to think differently and I’m not sure
that we would have if the server meltdowns had not occurred.

* First off, we’re in a new & much more reliable data center. We’ve been in consistent
communication with their Owner and CEO and we’re confident that the relationship that
we’ve built will translate into a better ReadyWire for all of our customers.

* We’ve entered into a business partnership with Panopta, a server monitoring
and outage management company (ironically, based right here in Chicago).
Every 60 seconds, Panopta sends a request to different services (DNS, Mail, SSH, WWW)
on all of ReadyWire’s servers. If Panopta is ever unable to complete the request, our server
admins are instantly alerted by a series of emails and text messages.

* For full redundancy, we’ve setup a mirror of ReadyWire’s corporate sites in another
data center. This will ensure that ReadyWire’s website & support features are available
even when ReadyWire’s main network in Orlando is inaccessible.

* Our team has grown in size! We’re in a much better situation to help you with
all of your technical challenges, whether it’s 2:00PM or 2:00AM on Easter Sunday.

Today, we’re a much stronger, more efficient, & a more robust ReadyWire.

*** BREAKING NEWS: Dedicated Servers ***

Has your website outgrown shared, reseller, or even your VPS hosting plan?
ReadyWire’s dedicated servers are fast & reliable and fully managed!

* Fully managed- ReadyWire’s support geniuses will handle all of the technical
aspects of your server.
* Fully monitored- ReadyWire has partnered with Panopta, a world-leader in
server monitoring. All ReadyWire dedicated servers are checked for trouble
every 60 seconds. If there’s a problem, we’ll both be alerted.
* Free Control Panel- There’s never a charge for this world-class control panel!

*** NEW STAFFERS: Announcing Missy Roberts & Matt Boscorelli! ***

I’m excited to introduce you to Missy Roberts, the latest addition to the ReadyWire
Sales & Customer Support team. I know that many have already had a chance to work with
Missy, as she has been operating our live chat help feature on readywire.com for a few weeks
now. Missy is a native of Orange County, CA and isn’t enjoying her first Chicago winter.

Please also join me in welcoming Matt Boscorelli, a technical genius who recently
became a part of the ReadyWire Technical Support team. If you find yourself having a
technical issue during the overnight hours, you’ll more than likely find yourself working
with Matt. I’ve already found him to be an invaluable resource and I’m so happy
to have him as a part of our team.

Please join me in welcoming Missy & Matt. =)
